The Hardest Part..

My book, as of right now has been rejected by several publishers. They all give me the same or more or less excuse: “WE LOVE IT! We just don’t know where it fits on our reading lists” or “It doesn’t meet our criteria”. Well, I’ve already submitted it to Jewish publishers, that specialize in the Holocaust or biographies. It’s gotten through some of the publisher’s first round and now awaiting their final decisions. But mostly, a lot of the publishers that I have submitted my book , have said they enjoyed it very much. Well that’s a good thing. But, I have decided that it needed a more personal approach. When I read it, I found it kind of boring and I needed to include more information and I need to add where I come into this story, since I have been researching this family for almost 10 years.

I’ve been getting inspiration from a book called Lily’s Promise by Dov Froman and Lily Ebert. They have their book written in first person sections. I thought I could try showing how I came about my research and see if anyone could add to it once it gets published? But I have submitted it to a couple of publishers and I hope they like it.

But if everyone keeps rejecting it, I may just have to self publish like I did my last few books, but I really really want this one to be professionally done and have a way to get into book stores and into museums.

Let’s hope it goes well and someone loves the Wolf story as much as I do.
