The Meaning “Behind the Words”
My book Behind the Words will hopefully be out next year, but in the meantime, it is being considered by Olympia Books in London. ALL THE WAY IN LONDON! But they have offices in Los Angeles and in India. But I think my manuscript is in London. Wow.
The title “Behind the Words” has a meaning.
Otto Wolf (1927–1945) wrote a diary during his time in hiding from the Nazis during WWII. The only thing that Otto is known for is his diary and nothing else.
But when I wrote this book, I wanted to write what was beyond the Diary and I considered calling it “Beyond the Diary”- but that seemed too generic .
The book is about Otto and his siblings, Kurt and Felicitas. In the book, I go into a lot of detail about their lives and in the case of Kurt and Otto, short lives. Felicitas was the only one to survive. Otto, Kurt and Felicitas are just some of the six million Jews that were affected by the Holocaust. Many of the Wolf’s live in the United States now, including Otto’s niece, Hana.
With this book, I am writing about the lives of the Wolf siblings, and I hope that Olympia books enjoy the manuscript. So much research, love, joy, tears and frustrations went into this book.
Otto does mean the world to me, and I want to share his story with the public.
I am very excited to see where this book will take me.
