The Writer

When you’re reading your older stuff back, it’s hard to imagine yourself then, and then look at yourself now and how far you’ve come.

When I read my diaries from when I was in high school, I was going through so much. Many of the novels that I wrote in high school, are now gone. All of them, except one: Backwards- An Anne Frank novel. That one was re-written twice and I believe I have it somewhere. I’ll be sure to type it up. When I read my work then, I think, “It’s Pretty Good,” but then the doubts start crawling in. “It’ll never be good for anyone.” When I’m reading the novel I have now, I think it’s pretty good, but I have to make it great, so people will want to read it.

I don’t have an agent. I’m not even sure how to get an agent? If anyone does, please let me know! For now, I’m going to try my luck at submitting the novel In Pieces, a novel about the Holocaust and time travel. I’m almost done with it. I’m pretty good at writing Holocaust based novels for some reason and biographies.

With this and my Bonita Granville biography underway, there’s a lot that I need to do. But when I’m trying to figure out my health on how I am going to accomplish all this, I need to take it one step at a time.

With Bonita’s daughter telling me, “Mom will guide you the whole way!” I know Bonita will. Her daughter told me this: “Mom opened the first door for you, when I got that letter from you, and I knew she had a hand in that!” I knew Bonita did. She has been helping me my whole life. I’ll give you a good example, though you’ve read about the Holocaust children and teens “saving” me- I will be posting about what Bonita and the other stars have done. Bonita saved me when I was 19 from hurting myself, and to be blunt, she has been more present in my life than a lot of other people have been.

Her daughter is such a dear friend of mine and I love her more than life. She has given me a glance of Bonita’s life .

With In Pieces, I have worked really hard on this novel for almost three months. It’s almost done and I’m going to re read it and make sure it all sounds good and worthy enough for publishing. I have a few publishers that take non agented writers, and that’s good, because I have no clue on even how to get an agent for writing?

But of all my writings that I have, I’m trying to be a serious writer, though I might have challenges to face, I’m going to try to fight them.
